Data Migration Manager (DMM) can’t import data maps exported by CRM Online data map exports
I’ve got a perfectly good exported data map from CRM live but when I attempt to use it in DMM, it acts as if I’m starting from scratch. This is hurting me as witnessed in the previous post.

Getting custom entities to show on menu
This whole “reset your computer” philosophy has really permeated throughout Microsoft. I did get my custom entities to show. I had to exit out of MS crm and go back in. Now I see them.

I created my PAU custom entity and published it. I checked the boxes for it to show in the “settings” and “sales” sections.
Nada.
Inconsistent import map ops
On Map A, I loaded my sample import file, mapped the fields but then realized I had an extra uneeded field in the sample.
I deleted the uneeded column from the sample data file, then re-sampled it. I unmapped the unwanted field and then after re-sampling & saving/closing, the uneeded field was deleted.
